Small Landscapes and Still Lifes
As a landscape artist, I enjoy painting in oil outside directly from life, plein air. In plein air oil painting, I study outdoor scenes of nature and architecture for impressions of the light, color, season, weather, and time of day.
As a still life artist, I paint interior sets, including food, drink, tableware, and flowers. Some still life oils I paint directly from life, alla prima, and some still life oils I paint from photographs.
